The Ignored Event

Science Fair in Student Center, UNS

Commemorating 37^th anniversary of Sebelas Maret University, there are events which organized by students. One of the events is Science Fair which is held on Monday, March 11, 2013. The Science fair was participating by participants from several of faculty and subject. By shown their science works hopefully can interest the visitors and get more support to make a progress.

Unfortunately, the Science Fair which should be media to introduce their science works is not interesting. Many lecturers and students are not enthusiastic to visits the Science fair. They think the Science fair is boring and not important. The less of attention from university students department is also one of the causes of the Science Fair looks ordinary. The university students departments less give the information to students so that the students don’t come to Exhibition. Expect that the Science Fair which coincided with 37^th Anniversary of UNS also make the lecturers attention concentrate in celebration and at the time some of students are not go to campus. Moreover the science work which spent a long time in a process felt useless and not appreciated.

Although the Science Fair is not crowded, it should be to support. Some of students think it is the beginning of innovation and also many of them who interesting and want to join to make a science work. Some of participants also hope can get motivation and support to make a progress. For them make science work is positive activity and the Science Fair is a prestige for their effort for a long time. And their science work is a special present for 37^th Anniversary of UNS.
